How We Give
Our goal is to amplify our impact by giving in various ways.
We design and create handmade products, providing craftswomen with meaningful and creative part-time piecework opportunities to earn income. Every sale of our handmade products directly impacts our local and international programs.
Our “Sister” organization, Sisters Uganda, is located in the western region of Uganda. We offer financial support for their personal & menstrual hygiene programs, assistance in program planning, design, and evaluation, and offer seed money for their business initiatives on the ground in Uganda.
The Rwenzori Children's Support Center, lovingly managed by the dedicated team at Sisters Uganda, is more than just a shelter—it’s a family. Nestled in the heart of the community, the center has become a haven for children who lost their parents to regional conflict and had nowhere else to turn. Here, these children have found not only a safe home but also a new family. They live, learn, and grow together, supporting and encouraging each other in school, play, and daily life. Together, they nurture a family garden, cultivating both food and a sense of purpose. At RCSC, love and resilience thrive, creating a bright future for these remarkable children.
We sponsor the Afghan Women’s Craft Collective in Asheville, which is helping build community and cultivate friendships among refugees.
