Rwenzori Support Center

Our vision for the Rwenzori Support Center is inspirational. Located in the heart of Maliba village, it will serve as a vital hub for women, girls, children, and the entire community, providing education, skills training, and essential resources. Designed to cultivate empowerment and growth, it will be a safe and welcoming space where people can learn, connect, and build a stronger future together.

Sisters Tailoring Center

At the Tailoring Center, women sew washable and reusable cloth sanitary pads for schoolgirls and provide personal health and hygiene education through community outreach.

They also learn valuable tailoring skills, create and sell clothing, and gain opportunities to earn a living, improving their economic situation. It’s a supportive environment where women and girls can openly discuss sensitive issues with their peers, helping them feel empowered, confident, and cared for.

Children’s support center

Even in a deteriorating structure, the children’s center is truly a home, providing a safe haven for over twenty children orphaned by conflict.

The dedicated team and extended family of Sisters Uganda have welcomed vulnerable children into their own family. Here, they find support, belonging, and the opportunity to grow together as siblings, nurturing both a vegetable garden and a brighter future full of hope and resilience.

It truly is decrepit; the roof is leaking, there is not a proper kitchen or bathrooms, nor is there enough space for bedrooms, so some children sleep on the floor.

Maliba’s first-ever Library

The village’s very first library will be a sanctuary where children can discover books, sparking a love for reading and learning, and expand their imaginations.

It will be a safe and encouraging space where local students can receive tutoring from older peers, giving them support often not offered at home due to family responsibilities.

Through reading circles and shared story hours—where children and adults alike can read to each other—mentorship, learning, and community connection will blossom.
